Baltic mansions, castles and locks

1 Day: Tallinn
You arrive in Tallinn by ship or airplane where you are already expected from your courier. He accompanies you up to the hotel and helps you to check in. After you have arranged yourself at the hotel, the first evening stands at your free disposal. You can relax after the journey or carry out a short stroll by the wonderful old part of the town of Tallinn. Then with the comfortable dinner you get to know each other better.

2 Day: Tallinn - Sagadi - Palmse
After the breakfast a detailed and knowledge-sound town guidance begins in company of an experienced courier. You visit the Talliner old part of the town, the cathedral mountain (Tompea) and the untertown. After the lunch, which you can enjoy with pleasure in one of many summer cafés, it goes further to Palmse and Sagadi. On the way you visit the manor Maardu, Palmse and Sagadi. After the exciting day you spend the night in one of the former mansions in Palmse or Sagadi.

3 Day: Palmse/Sagadi - Tartu
After you have enjoyed the rest and the magic of the good houses, it further goes in the direction of the Estonian university town Tartu (Dorpat). On the way you do a break in Rakvere (Wesenberg) to visit the order castle ruins. After the inspection it goes to the second largest Binnensees in Europe, Peipussee. There you can do a picnic on the sea shore and consume the fish smoked by local fishermen. Further the trip leads to Tartu - a university and student's town with a rich cultural history.

4 DayS: Tartu - Valka - Valmiera- Dikli
The today's day leads you by the Estonian mountain scenery, past smaller seas. Enjoy the nice Estonian nature. You do the first hold in Sangaste to visit the castle in Tudorstil, from red bricksand build, and to visit the lovely parks. After the inspection the journey further goes over the Estonian - Latvian border to Valmiera (Wollmar), where you will see the castle ruins of the German order of knights and the Siemanskirche from 13. Cent. After that you go to the former mansion Dikli. Enjoy the nice nature and the rest. You spend the night in the mansion.

5 Tag: Dikli - Cesis - Turaida - Birini
Nach dem Frühstück in der Stube des Herrenhauses führt Ihre Reise in eine der ältesten Städte Lettlands, Cesis (Wenden), mit einer langen und bunten Geschichte. Sie besichtigen dort die gut erhaltene Ordensburgruine, die einst der Sitz des Ordensmeisters Walter von Plettenberg gewesen ist. Auch Bischof Albert - Gründer der Stadt Riga - sei mit seinen Schwertbrüdern hier gewesen. Lassen Sie sich bezaubern von dem schönen Schlosspark und der Gemütlichkeit der Altstadt. Besuchen Sie auch die Johanneskirche, deren Schwelle in gleicher Höhe mit dem Hahn der Petrikirche in Riga steht. Die nächste Station nach Cesis ist Turaida mit der restaurierten Bischofsburg, die mal Sitz des Bischofs von Riga gewesen ist. Genießen Sie den Ausblick aus dem Burgfried auf das wunderschöne Tal des Gaujaflusses. Nach den Besichtigungen in Turaida führt Ihr Weg weiter nach Birini - ein wunderschön renoviertes, ehemaliges Herrenhaus, wo Sie auch übernachten werden.

6 Day: Birini - Saulkrasti - Riga
The today's day leads you in one of the Baltic pearls - Riga. But before you come to Riga, you will still have the possibility to do in Saulkrasti a walk on the Baltic beach or to have a bath even if the weather relations are suitable. After, you have sniffed the fresh Baltic air, finally, it goes to Riga - a true metropolis which has experienced a huge growth during the last 15 years and develops constantly. After the check in at the hotel, the rest of the evening stands to you at your free disposal. A stroll by the old part of the town is worthwhile anyway. You spend the night in Riga.

7 Day: Riga - Jurmala - Jaunmokas
This day of our trip begins with a detailed town guidance and an old part of the town walk. You see the Petrikirche, the famous Rigaer cathedral, the guild houses, the Schwarzhäupter house, the city hall entirely newly been based on old photos and still a lot more. After the town guidance it further goes to Jurmala - to the rigaer seaside resort with white sand beach, in the pedestrian precinct with many small bars which invite you to a well cooled Latvian beer, during the hot summer days. Then in the late afternoon it further goes to the Jaunmoku castle. The inspection of the castle, which has been built in 1901, as a hunting seat for the mayor at that time by Riga, Georg Armitstedt. You spend the night in the castle.

8 Day: Jaunmoku lock - Riga - Germany
After breakfast in the castle, it goes back to Riga. Stay in Riga, up to departure to Germany.
